Lunar Diplomacy Guide RS3

Once you decide to begin with RS3 Lunar Diplomacy, you must talk to Lokar Searunner. You can find him on the westernmost dock of Rellekka, west of the wide dock to Miscellania and Etceteria. He will talk to you about his pirate’s life and the Moon Clan. If you want to visit the Moon Clan, he will tell you that you need to obtain a Seal of Passage that allows you to travel and stay safely on the Lunar Isle.

Once you finish talking to him, head to Rellekka Long Hall Bar and find Brundt the Chieftain. Talk to him to obtain a Seal of Passage; when you have it, keep it in your inventory when you are on Lunar Isle or related places because if you don’t, you will teleport back to Rellekka. You must go back and talk to Lokar again and sail to the Pirates’ Cove. You can board the pirate’s ship called Lady Zay when you are at the cove.

Lady Zay

You must climb two ladders to board the pirate ship. Remember to take with you the Seal of Passage. Talk to Captain Bentley and ask him to sail directly to the Lunar Isle; with this request, the ship will sail around in a circle. In this section of Lunar Diplomacy in RS3, you must speak to the Captain when you have already boarded the ship. If you talk to him before climbing the ladders, you won’t progress with the quest even if you have already sailed.

Upon speaking with Captain Bentley, he will appear confused. He is unsure about what is happening and tells you to speak with the ship’s navigator. You must head to the lower deck, in the aft port on the southwest corner of the ship, to find the navigator, ‘Bird’s Eye’ Jack. Talk to him, and he will tell you about his perfect navigation skills, and grows annoyed by your insinuation that they are otherwise.

After you finish talking to him, go back and speak with Captain Bentley, and he will send you back to talk to ‘Bird’s Eye’ Jack again. Make your way to the navigator, and after your conversation with the navigator, he will conclude the ship is jinxed. You must reach Captain Bentley again, and he will ask you to investigate who or what on the ship has been jinxed.

lunar diplomacy rs3

The Crew

To move forward with Lunar Diplomacy RS3, you must talk with the crew, starting with ‘Eagle-eye’ Shultz. He’s on the bow or the head of the ship, on the northernmost point on the same deck as Captain Bentley. He will explain jinxes to use, and once you are done, talk to ‘Beefy’ Burns. He’s on the bottom level of the ships, in the galley in the southwest corner. If you can’t find him, go downstairs at the stern or rear of the ship, in front of bunks, on the middle deck. He will explain something about the pirates’ visit to the Moon Clan.

Once he finishes, go up three levels directly to the ship's stern. You will find ‘Lecherous’ Lee; ask him about the big feast; he will tell you he saw a mate slip away. After receiving this information, you must go to the deck where Captain Bentley resides and head to the room at the stern of the ship. Now you must confront First Mate ‘Davey-boy,’ he will be able to explain his absence but will mention that he couldn’t find the Cabin Boy at the feast. You must then head back to the same deck that you found ‘Lecherous’ Lee, and you will see the Cabin Boy there. Talk to him, and he will confess that a girl from Moon Clan tricked him into drawing five symbols throughout the ship. He will give you a special lantern and lens you can use to find the symbols. You must use the Emerald Lens on the Bullseye Lantern Frame to create a mystical Emerald Lantern for the next step of Lunar Diplomacy RS3. You must then light the lantern by clicking ‘light.’ Moreover, the Cabin Boy will also give you five clues to help you find the symbols. Here are the clues:

  • The first one is on the Cannon, right on the top deck, in the stern. You must use the lantern on the cannon to the east side of the deck.
  • You will find the second one on a wall on the same floor as the Captain, in the First Mate’s Cabin, in the ship's stern. Go close the wallchart west of the door and use the lantern.
  • The third one is a chest you can find at the bottom of the ship. Use the lantern on the chest near the ladder.
  • On the same floor, go to the stern and use the lantern on the support beam outside the cook’s galley. You will find this support easily since it’s the only one with an option to ‘Rub away!’
  • The last one is on the same bottom floor, in the stern. Find two large stacked crates east of the cook’s galley and use the lantern.

Once you finish rubbing away the symbols, talk to Captain Bentley again and set sail to Lunar Isle.

Lunar Isle

Upon your arrival, descend from the raised dock and go northwest, heading into the city. A cutscene will appear, showing you a bird’s-eye view of the city before your first walk through the city gates. You must find Meteora in the southwest part of the village and talk to her. She will explain to you the clan doesn’t have a leader, and the one who can help you is the Oneiromancer.

You must head to the southeast of the island to continue with Lunar Diplomacy in RS3, making your way to the Astral Altar. There, you will find the Oneiromancer; talk to her. Beware because you can find the Suqahs here. She will tell you about the Moon Clan’s dispute with the Fremennik. She will also ask you to try to understand the ways of the Moon Clan, and to do so, you must go through a ritual. This is your sign to prepare for the ritual, and before starting the ritual, you must make three things: a Waking Sleep Potion, a Lunar Staff, and Ceremonial Travelling Clothes.

rs3 lunar diplomacy

The Walking Sleep Potion

The next step in Lunar Diplomacy in RS3 is to head to the chicken leg house in the north part of the village to talk to Baba Yaga. While you’re talking to her, she will give you a Special Vial and ask you to get Clean Guam, Clean Marrentill and some Ground Suqah Tooth to complete the potion. Prepare yourself to defeat the Suqahs, but first, make sure you fill the Special Vial with water in the sink of Baba Yaga’s house. You can fill the vial in the house west of the bank if you prefer.

Now it’s time to kill the Suqahs until one of them drops a Suqah Tooth. You can also get the Clean Marrentill and Clean Guam from drops of the Suqahs. If you go to the island's northern half, you will find Suqahs that will attack you using spells similar to Water Wave and Ice Barrage; so you will be unable to safespot them. The Suqahs on the southern half don’t have these abilities, meaning that you will be able to safespot this group.

Once you get all the items Baba Yaga asks of you to complete the Walking Sleep Potion in Lunar Diplomacy RS3, add the Clean Marrentill and Clean Guam to the Special Vial; this will create a Guam-marr Vial. Now, you must grind the tooth with a Pestle and Mortar, add it to the Waking Sleep Vial, and return it to the Oneiromancer. You must give her the potion before you take the Staff of the altars. If you don’t follow the steps, nothing will happen; it is essential you return the vial to her to continue.

Lunar Staff

After you grab the Dramen Staves, you must use them on each of the four element altars following this order:

  • Air Altar (west of Varrock)
  • Fire Altar (north of Al Kharid)
  • Water Altar (in the Lumbridge Swamp)
  • Earth Altar (south of the Fort Forinthry, northwest of Varrock)

At this point of Lunar Diplomacy in RS3, it’s a good idea to bring more Dramen Staves to make multiple Lunar Staves because you will lose the ability to create various staves once you give your Staff to the Oneiromancer. You can store them for a backup or a bank placeholder; either way, they will come in useful. You can use your preferred method to reach each altar, like using Wicked Hood or trips to the Abyss. Now, your Dramen Staff is a Lunar Staff, and you can return to the Lunar Isle and speak with the Oneiromancer, who will take your new Lunar Staff.

Ceremonial Travelling Clothes

If you want to enter the Land of Dream in RS3 Lunar Diplomacy, you will need to use a suit composed of eight items: helm, torso, legs, gloves, boots, cape, amulet, and ring. You must talk to the Oneiromancer about how to obtain each of them. Thankfully, you can obtain the eight items in any order.

Lunar Helm

Head to the northeast part of the isle to find the Lunar Isle Mine. You can easily find it since it’s marked on the minimap with a dungeon symbol. You must enter the mine using a small shack. Once you are inside, mine a gray stalagmite in the western part of the mine, near the wall, to get a Lunar Ore. This ore requires being refined, so you must smelt it using any furnace. You can go to Rellekka to use the furnace to smith the ore into a Lunar Bar later and finally make a Lunar Helm on an anvil.

Lunar Cape

You must be at the Lunar Isle and go to the northwest corner of the village, where you can find a house. In this house is Pauline Polaris; talk to her, and she will ask you to guess her real name before she gives you the Lunar Cape. Here’s what you must do to guess her name:

The first thing you must do is choose Pauline, and she will tell you that’s her alias. Then she will give you a clue:

  • Change a letter from the word Dane to get my first name.
  • The first part of my surname rhymes with wood.
  • The third part rhymes with spade.
  • The second rhymes with magic.

The only name that fits the clues is Jane Blud-Hagic-Maid. Once you guess her name correctly, you will obtain the Lunar Cape, and you can continue with Lunar Diplomacy in RS3.

lunar diplomacy rs3

Lunar Amulet

Head to the southwest side of the village and find the house next to an L-shaped room with the water icon to find Meteora. Talk to her, and she will ask you to get back the tiara she lost to the Suqahs. In this section of RS3 Lunar Diplomacy, you must kill Suqahs until one of them drops a Special Tiara. Moreover, you must collect four Suqahs Hides if you don’t have them for the following steps to complete the Ceremonial Clothes. Once you find the Special Tiara, go back to Meteora and trade her tiara to obtain the Lunar Amulet.

Lunar Torso, Legs, Glove, And Boots

Head to the Moon Clan Fine Clothes shop, run by Rimae Sirsalis. Talk to her about the ceremonial clothes twice before she offers to tan the Suqahs Hides for you, but you must pay her about 100 coins per hide. Hand her the Suqahs Hides you got earlier, buy a Needle and a Spool of Thread (if you don’t have these items), and make the Lunar Torso, Legs, Gloves, and Boots.

If you think you can make a second set of Lunar Torso, Legs, Gloves, or Boots, you will get a message: “You already have the … part of the ceremonial clothes.” You will get this message if you have the set in your inventory, your bank, or even in your magic chest in your owned house. Be careful if you drop the clothes because you will destroy them.

Lunar Ring

For this item, you must go near the center of the village, around one of the buildings near the locked Lunar Isle Lodestone. There you will find Selene. Talk to her, and she will provide a clue about how to find a ring.

Bring your Spade with you and head to the eastern gate of the village. Run southeast until you reach a bridge, cross it, and then cross the bridge on the west that follows the first one. Continue to the west until you find a patch of blue flowers near a starfish. You must dig on top of the flowers to find the Lunar Ring.

rs3 lunar diplomacy

The Oneiromancer

Once you get all the lunar items, you must go back and talk with the Oneiromancer. At this point of Lunar Diplomacy in RS3, it’s essential you have 11 empty slots in your inventory. When you speak to her, she will take everything from you for safekeeping. She will return the Ceremonial Clothes, Lunar Staff, Potion, and provide some Magic Kindling for use during the ceremony.

If you log out or die during this part of the quest, you will lose the equipment you need for the ritual. Fortunately the Oneiromancer will have a replacement. You must keep the Seal of Passage in your inventory or in your neck slot to avoid being teleported back to Rellekka.

Dream World

It’s time to enter the Dream World in Lunar Diplomacy RS3, you must put on your Ceremonial Clothes, wield the Lunar Staff and dismiss all your followers to enter this new realm. However, after you are prepared, head to the big building west of the village, where you will find the Ceremonial Brazier. The building is south of Pauline Polaris. You must wear the Lunar Equipment and wield the Staff because if you lose any items, you must return and talk with the Oneiromancer to replace the Waking Sleep Potion and Kindling.

Once you have the Ceremonial Brazier, use the Waking Sleep Potion on the Kindling, light the Brazier with a Tinderbox, and place the Soaked Kindling in it. After these steps, you will be in the land of your dreams. Here, you must find and talk to the Ethereal Man or Ethereal Lady; this will depend on your character's gender. In the speech, they will explain that you are about to go through a test where you need to complete a series of puzzles; it will be six lessons, and then there will be a final challenge you must overcome, which requires facing yourself. If you fail in one of these tasks during Lunar Diplomacy RS3, you can try again. Once you complete every task, you must head to talk with the Ethereal person in the center. Furthermore, you can do the task in your preferred order.

If you need to leave, you can use the “My Life” book on the lectern in the center to return to reality If you log out or leave the Dreamland while you are doing a part of Lunar Diplomacy RS3, you must talk with Oneiromancer to obtain a new Waking Sleep Potion and Kindling. Thankfully, your progress during the quest will be saved, so you will continue without a problem where you left off.

Game of Chances

For this task, you must step on the platform you will find at the 7 o’clock position, the one south-southwest when the map is facing north. It’s the avocado green platform, just the same color as the Agility Potion.

You must talk to the Ethereal Fluke, who will explain how to play this game. He will shout out a number; you must flip over the six dice, and the sum of the numbers that are facing up should be the same number as the Fluke shouts. So, to complete this task, you must know each die has two possibilities; however, the number facing up and the number on the opposite side. Each die can possibly show the following patterns:

  • 1 or 6 (+5/-5)
  • 2 or 5 (+3/-3)
  • 3 or 4 (+1/-1)

Remember, the top and bottom of a normal 6-sided die always add up to 7.

It’s important to remember the pattern well because the +1/-1 means it will include this effect when you flip a die. Once you get the right number of dots on all the dice, the Ethereal Fluke will shout another number. You will have to play with the dice five times to complete the task and continue with Lunar Diplomacy RS3. Here are all the answers:

  • 12: 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3
  • 13: 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 4
  • 14: 1, 1, 2, 2, 4, 4
  • 15: 1, 1, 2, 5, 3, 3
  • 16: 1, 1, 2, 5, 3, 4
  • 17: 1, 1, 2, 5, 4, 4
  • 18: 1, 1, 5, 5, 3, 3
  • 19: 1, 1, 5, 5, 3, 4
  • 20: 1, 1, 5, 5, 4, 4
  • 21: 1, 6, 2, 5, 3, 4
  • 22: 1, 6, 2, 5, 4, 4
  • 23: 1, 6, 5, 5, 3, 3
  • 24: 1, 6, 5, 5, 3, 4
  • 25: 1, 6, 5, 5, 4, 4
  • 26: 6, 6, 2, 5, 3, 4
  • 27: 6, 6, 2, 5, 4, 4
  • 28: 6, 6, 5, 5, 3, 3
  • 29: 6, 6, 5, 5, 3, 4
  • 30: 6, 6, 5, 5, 4, 4

Once you complete the five numbers, talk with the Ethereal Person again to tell them what you learned during this Lunar Diplomacy RS3 quest section.

lunar diplomacy rs3

Sequence & Patterns

To complete this task, you must go to the platform at 4 o’clock, the one located east-south-east if your map is facing north; the lavender platform. Once there, talk to the Ethereal Numerator, who will explain how to complete this task. He will speak with a mixture of numbers and words, making it somewhat difficult to understand his true meaning. However, the trick is to ignore the numbers and focus on only his words, and you should understand him.

The Ethereal Numerator will tell you a sequence of numbers, and you must find the pattern in it. Select the numbers that come next to each other in the pattern. If you forget what he said, you can ask the Ethereal Numerator to tell you the sequence again. Be careful because if you get the answer wrong, the Ethereal Numerator will give you another sequence of numbers to work on. Here are the possible solutions for this task marked in bold:

  • 0, 1, 3, 4, 6, 7
  • 1, 1, 1, 2, 1, 3, 1, 4, 1, 5
  • 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4
  • 1, 1, 2, 3, 1, 1, 4, 5, 1
  • 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
  • 1, 3, 5, 7, 9
  • 1, 4, 2, 5, 3, 6
  • 1, 6, 2, 5, 3, 4
  • 1, 9, 2, 8, 3, 7
  • 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 9
  • 2, 6, 3, 7, 4, 8
  • 3, 4, 2, 5, 1, 6
  • 7, 3, 6, 2, 5, 1
  • 8, 6, 4, 2, 0
  • 9, 7, 5, 3, 1
  • 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4

Once you solve the five patterns, you will have to talk with the Ethereal Person again to tell them what you learned.

Cutting Dream Trees

On your next task in the Dream World, if your map is oriented north, head to the platform at the 1 o’clock position, north-north-east, and speak with Ethereal Perceptive, who will explain to you what you need to do to complete the next task in Lunar Diplomacy RS3. This is an easy task, where the Ethereal Perceptive challenges you to a long-cutting race, and the first one who gets a pile of 20 Dream Logs in the center will win.

You will notice the Ethereal Perceptive deposits two logs at a time and walks, so you must activate your run. Cut all your 4 Dream Tress and deposit them in the center. If you can hover the cursor over until you find that pile, use it undoubtedly, or your drop logs won’t count. If you go back and forth five times, you will complete the 20 logs goal. You can distract the Ethereal Perceptive by talking to him while cutting some logs, but it won’t be necessary.

If you lose track of your log count, you will receive messages telling you how many logs you have and even how many logs the Ethereal Perceptive deposited. This is a great sign to note because if you only get messages about the logs deposited by the Ethereal Perceptive, you are not doing it correctly and must find the correct spot to drop your logs.

Once you complete the task, talk with the Ethereal Person to tell them what you learned and continue with RS3 Lunar Diplomacy.

The Floating Dream Puffs

This time, head to the ash gray platform in a slightly darker area. It’s at the 10 o’clock position, west-north-west. Talk with the Ethereal Guide, and he will explain the task. This one will be similar to a pit and the grip part of the Underground Pass. You must jump from one floating dream puff to another until you reach the other side. Be careful since only one of the floating dream puffs will be stable, and the other will fall. The not-real-dream puff will send you back to the platform to start over. Don’t worry, you won’t receive any damage if you fall. Beware, you can’t move diagonally, and the possible movements you have are north, east, west, and south. You shouldn't need to go back in order to complete this section.

Once you discover the right path, talk to the Ethereal Person and tell them what you learned during this task.

lunar diplomacy rs3, rs3 lunar isle

Ready, Set, Go!

Head to the platform, which is tea green, at the 3 o’clock position, east if your map is facing north, and talk with the Ethereal Expert, who will challenge you to a race. He will bet he can beat you to the other side of the island. This is a tricky race since he will take the straight route on the left, and you must use the right and curvy route. Your route will include four hurdles, making it appear as though the Ethereal Expert has a guaranteed advantage over you, but this isn’t true because the Ethereal Expert will take a couple of steps, then pause and repeat until he finishes the race.

You can win even if you fail twice, so try to be cautious in the race. If failing a third time is inevitable, you should lose on purpose and then start over to preserve your food. This is the perfect moment to use your Agility Boost, a Summer Pie, or a Surefood Aura. With the effect activated before the race starts, turn on run and try to pass the obstacles. You can fail even with level 99 Agility, but try to jump the hurdles and eat when necessary. Once you win the race, you must speak with the Ethereal Person to tell them what you learned and move on with Lunar Diplomacy in RS3.

Copycat

For the last task, you must go to the blue-green platform at 5 o’clock, south-south-west, if your map is oriented north. Talk to the Ethereal Mimic on the musical-note island; he will explain more about this task and how to complete it and continue with Lunar Diplomacy RS3.

You must do exactly what the Ethereal Mimic does. He will perform an emote, and you must do the same; it’s like playing follow the leader. Thankfully, the Ethereal Mimic will only use the basic emotes that all players have. If you forget which emote he did, talk to him to perform the emote again. After you complete a successful emote, the Ethereal Mimic will teleport to a random location on the island. You must speak to him on each emote. Avoid falling off the isle by getting close to the edge because you will restart your progress and begin the task again. Once you have copied five times the emote of the Ethereal Mimic, you must speak with the Ethereal Person to tell them what you have learned.

Me, Myself and I

After completing all the tasks, you must talk to the Ethereal Person in the island's center. They will tell you about the six lessons you learned and explain one more challenge you must complete. At this point in Lunar Diplomacy RS3, you must defeat Me, but first, you will be teleported to another island where you can see two dream trees and five floating beams; they are like rays of light. You will see a level 84 version of yourself, called Me, with a lighter color Lunar Equipment. It’s wise to stock up on runes for Fire Spells since it’s Me’s weakness. When you say you are ready, the fight will begin, and you will notice it’s not a straightforward fight because both of you will teleport around the platform every 15 seconds. You can turn on auto-retaliate, and while you are fighting, allowing you to easily return to Me after teleporting.

You can safespot Me by making him walk into the center of the island and then make him walk to the tree outside the ring. Attacking Me with your Lunar Staff is recommended because you can’t fight melee with the Staff, so you must defeat him with magic. You won’t be able to use other weapons but the Lunar Staff because the game prevents you from changing to another. We recommend you bring a decent number of Runes with you, and if you don’t have enough, it’s better to log out, then log back in, grab another Water Sleep Potion from the Oneiromancer and get some Combat Runes. Me will only use Melee attacks, so activating a Protect From Melee is a great option.

After defeating Me, you are teleported back to the Ethereal Person, talk to them again, and then exit by reading the “My Life” book. You will be back to reality, and it’s time to speak with the Oneiromancer again and tell her what you learned to complete Lunar Diplomacy RS3.
