Today’s blog is about a well-known series, The First Necromancer; this time, we will guide you through Remains of the Necrolord RS3 to learn about another Rasial’s apprentice, Lord Yudura, in Daemonheim. So, prepare yourself to return to the City of Um to discover all the information related to the Necrolord. So, let’s begin!
RS3 Requirements Remains of the Necrolord
Before you can start your new adventure in the City of Um and discover more about Necromancy skills, you must know this is a Member only quest, and you can expect to spend about 25 to 35 minutes completing all the tasks in Remains of Necrolord RS3. Moreover, you will need to meet the following requirements to enter this quest:
- Completion of Tomes of The Warlock, Nadir, and Vengeance quests
- 85 Necromancy
- 77 Dungeoneering
- Ghostspeak Amulet or Cramulet (unless you completed Hard Morytania Achievements)
- Combat equipment
- Ring of Kinship
- Dungeoneering Cape (recommended)
- 5 free Backpack spaces
- Food
- You must be able to defeat Skeletal Warrior level 112, Skeletal Archer level 112, and Skeletal Sorcerer level 112.
Remains of the Necrolord RS3 Guide
To begin with Remains of the Necrolord, you must make your way into the City of Um and find Death. Talk to him, and he will wish for you to dive into the history of another of Rasial’s apprentices, Lord Yudura. This apprentice was a necrolord with a high stature and held dominion over Daemonheim. Lord Yudura led a small group of powerful necromancers until he finally died, although not by Rasial’s hand. Death will assign you a couple of tasks, including investigating Lord Yudura and seeking out wandering spirits in Daemonheim.
Adventure in Daemonheim
For your next phase in Remains of the Necrolord RS3, you must travel to Daemonheim. Your objectives will be located in three specific Listless Dead, which will appear with the “Talk to” option. These are ghosts who won’t appear in the minimap, so you will need to do a more detailed search. However, if you need some help, the first ghost is near the southern fountain, south of the teleportation point of the Ring of Kinship. The second one is near the entrances of Kal’gerion Resource Dungeon to the west, and the third one is at the Marmaros & Gorgonite Mine, which you can find north of the Fremennik Ship. Despite the fact they are restless in search of Yudura, they didn’t find him. They will express their desire to be released into the underworld, and you can grant them that wish.
When you release the Listless Dead, Lord Yudura will contact you and ask you to return to the entrances of the castle above Daemonheim. He will be waiting for your arrival near the teleport of the Ring of Kinship. Lord Yudura will be annoyed and, because of that, will tell you about his strained relationship with Rasial, but he will ask you to retrieve his corpse in exchange for a valuable lesson. Now, for this section of RS3 Remains of the Necrolord, you will make your way through the halls of Daemonheim to find Yudura’s remains.
Daemonhein: The Floors
At this point, you will walk through the corridors on every floor in Daemonheim; however, on the Frozen Floo, you will find the remains of Captain Toma. However, you will deny the method of reanimation of Lord Yudura, and you will need to find an alternative approach. While you are trying to find an alternative method, you will discover a revelation about Yudura’s assassination by Moia, who killed Toma disguised as Yudura.
On the subsequent abandoned floor, you will find Andelus’ corpse. Still, you won’t learn anything new, so you must continue your exploration, and your subsequent encounter will be the remains of Taevas, where you won’t find any new revelation. In your next search, you will discover Vengeance’s corpse, and you will finally obtain some information. Since you are absorbed into Skaldrun’s narrative, Vengeance will tell you a critical revelation: a haunting echo of Yudura’s demise. In this section of Remains of the Necrolord RS3, you will be in the adorned chambers of a temporary corpse storage room, and you will see how Moia kills Yudura.
The Ritual
During your search, you will find Lord Yudura’s corpse on the Furnished Floor, and he will impart his lesson related to granting life beyond death. Pick up the corpse and make your way to the Occult Floor, where you will gather some ritual components. To do so, you must have four free spaces in your Backpack. During this stage of RS3 Remains of the Necrolord, you will visit two different rooms; the one on the west will contain the following components you must gather:
- 12 Inkwells Basic Ghostly Ink from the Crate Of Basic Ghostly Ink
- 12 Inkwells Of Regular Ghostly Ink from the Crate Of Regular Ghostly Ink
- 6 Inkwells Of Greater Ghostly Ink from the Crate Of Greater Ghostly Ink
- 4 Greater Ritual Candles from the Crate Of Greater Ritual Candles
Once you have everything in your Backpack, head two rooms east. In the Ritual Site, you must place Lord Yudura’s corpse on the Focus Object Spot in the middle, a Greater Ritual Candle on every Light Source Spot, and draw a Glyph on each glyph spot. You won’t need to select the glyph since it is selected automatically. With everything set up, return to Lord Yudura in the room to the west.
When the ritual begins, Lord Yudura will be reborn as an Edimmu, a fusion of ghosts with some corporeal traits. Speak to him, and he will guide you to the next room. Lord Yudura will teach you the lesson he owes you; he will make you understand that your mortal body will not be enough to fight against Rasial. During this conversation of Remains of the Necrolord in RS3, you must be ready to fight because Lord Yudura will betray you after he tells you about creating a new form.
Lord Yudura believes you won’t be a good fit to be Rasial’s apprentice, and he will try to replace you. He will also conjure a Skeletal Archer, a Skeletal Sorcerer, and a Skeletal Warrior you must defeat. This fight will be similar to the Skeletal Trio encounter in Dungeoneering since they alternate Protection Prayers and multiple combat methods. Since they won’t be able to Pray against Necromancy, use a Death Guard and Skull Lantern to kill them.
Once you defeat them, Lord Yudura will be surprised by your power, and he will prepare to fight you. However, at this stage of the Remains of the Necrolord, you will see how Rasial will teleport in. Lord Yudura immediately pleaded to Rasial to be accepted as an apprentice again in his new and more powerful form, and Rasial seemed to agree. Before making his final decision, instead of giving Yudura a second chance, The First Necromancer will kill him in one blow.
After watching this scene, you must return and talk to Death in the City of Um to discuss all the recent events. Thanks to Yudura’s ritual, Rasial makes it easier to return after death. Death will tell you that Rasial's main objective seems to be his vessel in the Citadel. With all being said, the RS3 Remains of the Necrolord will finish at this juncture.

Are there more Listless Dead to free after completing Remains of the Necrolord in RS3?
Yes, there will be 14 more Listless Dead to free after you complete the quest. Sadly, there won’t be any sign in the mini map that marks the position of every one of them. However, if you want to complete the “Draugr Me To Hela” achievement, you must free them. You will be required to use the Master Quest Cape for this endeavor.
